Cavendish History

The Cavendish variety of bananas is the centerpiece of the banana industry worldwide. It came into existence in 1836, and eventually replaced the Gros Michel. The Gros Michel became unviable due to the ravages of Panama disease caused by the fungus Fusarium Oxysporum which attacks the roots of the banana plant. It was thought that the Cavendish cultivars were resistant to the Panama disease, however the Cavendish variety of banana is now susceptible to black Sigatoka fungus from 2013 and the dreaded fungus Fusarium Oxysporum Tropical Race 4 has appeared and threatens extinction of the Cavendish banana.

The Problem

In the Western Hemisphere in Colombia the TR4 has appeared and large Banana plantations are now isolated and quarantined. Banana exports are over 16.5 million metric tons annually and are the economic mainstay of many countries worldwide. Millions of people are dependent on this industry for their livelihood and diet. The Cavendish banana dominates the industry.

The Solution

Anticipating the emergence of the dangerous fungal diseases, Cavendish Care LLC. (CCLLC) began a development program to counter the ravages that happen to the banana industry from these diseases. It is well known that nanotechnology producing nanopowders in a range of 10nm to 100nm of pure copper and other select nanopowders provides a killing and preventive solution to the  readed fungi. CCLLC owns a proprietary bottoms up nanopowder process, modified Bose-Einstein gas condensation. The resulting pure, unadulterated, nanopowder becomes a systemic solution from the roots up in the banana plants.

Rather than the costly shipping of water, the product is concentrated in water and diluted 100 to 1 with pure water at the banana plantations point of use. It is applied by spraying.
